The circuit moves to Turkey
High class badminton continues this week as the Badminton Europe circuit moves to the Turkish city of Antalya for the Turkiye Open 2011. The International Series tournament, which offers total prize money of $ 5,000 attracts 160 Players from 25 countries to the city on the Mediterranean coast of southwestern Turkey.

2012 European Club Championships awarded to Hungary
The 2012 European Club Championships were allocated to Hungary. The prestigious event will take place in Pecs from 29 May to 2 June 2012. The tournament will be staged in Hungary's first and biggest arena only built for badminton. Title holder is BC Duinwijck who won this year's trophy in an all-Dutch affair against Van Zundert Velo.

Yonex Dutch Open in Almere – A preview
It is that time of the year again where Europe braces itself for its autumnal run of top class Grand Prix and Super Series badminton. Its Dutch Grand Prix time in Almere just outside Amsterdam and for every neutral observer the overriding burning questions is can Przemyslaw Wacha keep this remarkable winning streak going as he attempts to win his fourth tournament in a row.

Bulgarian International: Wacha lifts another trophy

Local player Linda Zechiri became the champion of the Bulgarian International Championships 2011 in Bulgaria, which ended today in the Sofia sport hall in Sofia. In the women singles, she won convincingly over Neslihan Yigit of Turkey 21:18 and 21:14. Thanks to this triumph, Linda Zechiri earned 4,000 points for world rankings and $ 1,800 of prize money.

Linda is now hungry for a European medal
Linda Zetchiri won the title at the Bulgarian International in the women's singles category. The current world number 36 showed a fine progression during the tournament which gave her the confidence to beat Carolina Marin of Spain and today the surprising finalist Neslihan Yigit (Turkey) in two straight games. We spoke to Linda about her fantastic weekend.
