Belgian Championships 2008

The badminton club of Klein-Boom (Putte) organizes this season's edition of the Belgian Championships Badminton in cooperation with the Flemish Badminton League. All Belgian elite level players (A players) will fight for the title of Belgian National Champion in the five disciplines badminton counts. Will Wouter Claes again go home to Leuven with 2 national titles, or will the other double players take their share? And what about the clinch between Yuhan Tan and David Jaco for the Mens singles title? Will Nathalie Descamps also be the next Belgian Ladies Singles Champion or will the youngsters steal the title from her? Belgian Youth Championships 2008

The club of Lebad in Kortrijk will host the 2008 Belgian Youth Championships, and this in the weekend of 8 and 9 november. Actually this championships will count as the 2009 Championships, because the traditional date (end of February 2009) has been changed to november 2008. The reason for this is that the Belgian Badminton Federation is hosting the prestigious 8 nations U15 event on the same weekend in February.

The Belgian Youth Championships are played in 5 age categories, and these are U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19. These Championships are definitely worth a visit, the best Belgian youngsters will show that Belgium earns his place between the top countries in Europe.

Belgian Senior Championships 2008

LFBB is the organizer of the first separate Belgian Senior Championships For the first time in many years, the Belgian Senior Championships are organized separately from the Belgian Youth Championships. This in order to make sure that all inscribing young participants can join this year's edition and also that the Seniors (+35 and above) can have their own privileged tournament that fits their needs. We hope the Seniors will support this idea and LFBB assures the tournament will be worthwhile.
